Dr. Eric S.
Schnipper, M.D.
Dr. Eric S. Schnipper is a Board
Certified physician in Diagnostic Radiology whose specialty is diagnostic
radiology, particularly computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound.
After receiving his B.A. in American History
from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Schnipper went
on to get his M.D. from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He did his
residency in Diagnostic Radiology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital of
Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in Manhattan. Dr.
Schnipper continued his post-graduate training with a Fellowship in Body
Imaging specializing in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and
ultrasound at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Schnipper also
holds a Health Policy and Management Masters Degree in Public Health from
Columbia University.
Dr. Schnipper is a member of the Radiological
Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the New York
Roentgen Ray Society, and the American College of Radiology. Dr. Schnipper
has lectured at the annual American Roentgen Ray Society on the role of
interventional radiology in the therapeutic rescue of failed dialysis
grafts, and has co-authored a presentation to the Radiological Society of
North America on the usage of Picture Archiving Communication Systems by
clinical oncologists at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Schnipper has worked extensively with the
Uniformed Firefighters Association of New York in imaging firefighters with
occupational exposure, particularly related to the September 11th tragedy.
Dr. Schnipper was named a "Hometown Hero" by WCBS-TV for his work
with New York's bravest.
