Jay L. Bosworth, M.D.,
F.A.C.R.
Dr. Jay Bosworth is a Board Certified
physician in Radiation Oncology whose specialties are adult radiation
oncology, particularly prostate seed implantation and breast cancer.
Dr. Bosworth received a B.S. from Brooklyn
College in Brooklyn, NY and an M.D. from The Albert Einstein College of
Medicine in the Bronx, where he also did his residency in Radiation
Oncology.
Dr. Bosworth has served as an Assistant
Professor of Radiology (Radiotherapy) at the Albert Einstein College of
Medicine and an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at the Cornell
University College of Medicine. He was the Chief of the Division of
Radiation Oncology of the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY
and is currently an Attending Physician in Radiation Oncology at the North
Shore University Hospitals in Syosset and Glen Cove and at St. Francis
Hospital.
Dr. Bosworth is a Fellow of the American
College of Radiology. Additionally, he is a member of The American Society
for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, The American Radium Society, The
American Urological Association and the American Society of Breast Diseases.
Dr. Bosworth has published articles and
presented lectures on such topics as prostate cancer seed implants, breast
cancer and eye cancer.
Dr. Bosworth is involved with many national
organizations such as The American Society of Clinical Oncology where he is
a member of the Public Issues Committee, and the American College of
Radiology where he is on the Committee for Standards and Accreditation. In
addition he is President - elect of the New York Cancer Society.
Dr. Bosworth joined Nassau Radiologic Group (NRAD)
in 1998.
